A tip for swimming at my pool: arrive a little bit early!! Old people (generally) don't like to circle swim, so if all the lanes already have 2 people in it, you get stuck swimming "laps" in the deep end. Not fun.
Last week I:
~ swam for 30 minutes on Monday
~ ran for 30 minutes on Tuesday (outside - not on a treadmill!!)
~ spin class for 45 minutes on Wednesday
~ ran for 40 minutes on Thursday
~ spin class was canceled on Friday, so I ran (started week 2 of C25k!!) for 40 minutes
~ had company over the weekend, so I didn't do anything Saturday
So far this week I:
~ 45 minute spin class yesterday
~ swam for 45 minutes today
For the rest of the week I want to:
~ spin tomorrow
~ run Thursday
~ swim Friday
~ run Saturday
At work last week I learned that one of my coworkers is doing a triathlon in July. We were chatting for awhile and she strongly suggested that I practice my transitions and also start training two sports on one day. She said going from swimming to biking isn't too hard, but when running right after riding your bike, your legs feel like jello. Another friend said that the running is difficult because when you're riding your bike, your legs are sort of making the same motion as running, so it takes your body a little bit of time to adjust to really running.
Anyway, maybe tomorrow I'll hop on the treadmill for a few minutes after spin class and see what happens.
